Our Mission

Shining Light Ministries exists to bring people of every nation, language and ethnicity into a mature relationship with Jesus Christ and into fellowship with a local church family.

Our Vision

​

Shining Light’s vision is to reach the people of the world through Christ-centered and time-tested materials, which will result in evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. We envision our Associate Discipleship School impacting communities of people around the world by bringing them to a vital relationship with Jesus Christ, and to a level of commitment to Christ that can reflect and demonstrate His life to the world around them. As we equip these believers, they will mature and bear fruit, repeating the process of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.

Our Doctrine

​

Shining Light Ministries is orthodox in theology and evangelistic in practice, believing in:

1. The plenary and verbal inspiration of the Bible and its inerrancy as God’s Holy Word,

2. The Holy Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three Persons in one essence in the unity of the Godhead,

3. The creation of man by the direct act of God and man’s subsequent fall as revealed in the Genesis account,

4. The Deity, Incarnation, Virgin Birth, and sinless humanity of Jesus Christ our Lord; His substitutionary death on the cross as the atonement for man’s sin; His bodily resurrection from the tomb; His ascension into Heaven to sit at the Father’s right hand; the imminent rapture of the Church, and the personal, visible, and premillenial return of Christ in power and great glory.

5. The power of Christ to save men eternally from the penalty of sin through faith in His shed blood, and the gift of eternal life by the grace of God,

6. The new birth of all who believe on Him through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit,

7. The sanctification of the believer by the Holy Spirit through the Word,

8. The final judgment of the wicked and Satan’s doom with the wicked in the lake of fire, and

9. The eternal happiness of the righteous in the presence of the Lord, and the ushering in of eternal righteousness in the new heaven and the new earth.

Our Finances and Accountability

​

We depend on God to provide the needs of the ministry and the support of our missions. We are not endowed or backed by any organization or denomination. As God burdens churches and Christian friends to give, we continue in the work.

Shining Light Ministries is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in accordance with the U.S. Treasury Department, as provided under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Service Code. All gifts are tax-deductible for Federal Estate and Gift Tax purposes under provision of Sections 2055, 2106 and 2522 of the Code.

All contributions are promptly receipted and acknowledged. The records of receipts and expenditures are carefully kept in the Shining Light Ministries Office according to standard bookkeeping methods.

All Shining Light Ministries basic courses are sent without charge to all students.
